Prodigy Dance Competition offers dancers a platform to compete in an organised, inclusive and enjoyable manner. A competition where every competitor walks away with a prize and a smile.

Solo entries are taken as of 1st January that year

Duo, Trio and Quad entries are based on the age of the eldest competitor (i.e. if a duo consists of a 9 year old and an 11 year old they must dance in the under 13 age group, not the under 10 age group)

This fee covers audience entry for unlimited family and friends attending the event (pending Covid19 restrictions)

MISS / MR PRODIGY CHAMPIONSHIP
To qualify for the Miss / Mr Prodigy Championship section, dancers must enter and compete in 2 other dance solo sections.
Dancers will then be able to compete with any style of dance or acrobatics and may choose to repeat a routine that they have already performed at the competition or perform a new routine.
Miss / Mr Prodigy Championship divisions
Mini: 8 years and under
Petite: 9 - 11 years
Junior: 12 - 14 years
Senior: 15+ years

AWARDS
Solos
Trophies will be awarded for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place in each section. A trophy will be awarded to 4th place if there are more than 11 competitors in a section.
Ribbons will be awarded for Honourable Mentions and Encouragement Awards.
Duos, Trios and Quads
Medals will be awarded for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. Medals will be awarded to 4th place if there are more than 11 competitors in a section.
Ribbons will be awarded for Honourable Mentions and Encouragement Awards.
Miss / Mr Prodigy Championship
Large trophies will be awarded for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place in each section. 1st place will also receive a tiara and a $50.00 cash prize.
Ribbons / medals will be awarded for Honourable Mentions.
Ribbons will be awarded for Encouragement Awards
All competitors will receive a prize in each section

MUSIC UPLOAD
All competitors will need a Dropbox account in order to upload their music for each competition. This will be the only way Prodigy Dance Competition will accept music.
A link will be emailed to you prior to the competitions closing date. You will then need to upload all of your music into the Dropbox by the competition closing date. Please ensure your music is labelled as per the following: Competitors name, competitors age group, style
A $10.00 late fee will be charged to those who fail to have their music uploaded by the above date.
V
VIDEO CRITS
All competitors will have thier video crits uploaded to the same Dropbox folder that their music was uploaded into. This service is completely FREE and will be provided for each routine performed at Prodigy Dance Competitions.
You will still have the option to purchase videos without the adjudicators commentary from the day.
